GREG FINCH

Greg is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Hilltop Residential.

Prior to Hilltop Greg was a cofounder and President of Venterra Realty from its inception in 2001 to 2016. During his tenure at Venterra Greg was involved in all facets of the multifamily business including acquisitions, finance, renovation, management and dispositions. At Venterra Greg built extensive relationships with institutional lenders and equity providers such as Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, Bank of America, Met Life, Wells Fargo, JP Morgan, PPM, Hartford Life, Lincoln Life, 4086, PNC, GE, Lehman Brothers, Thackeray Partners, Dome Equities and Canyon Johnson.

In addition to his history with Venterra, Greg’s professional background includes extensive experience in all facets of commercial and multi-family real estate, and many years of experience in Natural Resource Management. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance and Marketing from Simon Fraser University and a Bachelor of Psychology from Trinity Western University.

David Wylie
Founder & President

David’s professional background includes the management of all aspects of investment and management activities, including deal sourcing, acquisition, financing, capital raising, asset management, and investment management.

DAVID WYLIE

David is the Founder and President of Hilltop Residential.

Mr. Wylie and has been in the multifamily investment business since 2000, having received national recognition for his performance in the apartment market across Texas and the United States. During his 19 years in the industry, Mr. Wylie has been involved in over $15 billion of multifamily transactions serving as Vice Chairman at Newmark Knight Frank (FKA Apartment Realty Advisors).
While serving as Vice Chairman in the ARA/NKF Houston office, David was responsible for the recruitment, growth, and development of the 40 people on the ARA Multifamily Investment Sales Team, the ARA Land Team, and the ARA Capital Markets Team. Under his leadership, the ARA/NKF Team grew from $300 million in multifamily sales in the early 2000’s, to nearly $4 billion in sales and capital markets in 2018.
Mr. Wylie’s deep relationships in the industry, as well as his extensive experience in identifying investment opportunities, are integral pieces to the Hilltop team.

Max Monzon
Chief Investment Officer

Max is responsible for overseeing all of Hilltop’s investment activities including acquisitions, dispositions, financings and due diligence.

Max serves as Chief Investment Officer of Hilltop Residential.

Max joined Hilltop at its inception and is a member of its Investment Committee. He is responsible for overseeing all of Hilltop’s investment activities including acquisitions, dispositions, financings and due diligence.  He plays a leading role in developing and implementing the company’s investment strategy. Max is also responsible for pursuing new business development, including capital formation and strategic partnerships.

Prior to joining Hilltop, Max worked at Raintree Resorts International, Inc., a Houston, Texas-based company that owns and operates properties throughout North America. While at Raintree, Max oversaw all transactions related to the company’s real estate interests.

A fourth-generation Texan and native Houstonian, Max is actively involved in Grace Bible Church and supports numerous non-profit organizations including Living Water International, Young Life and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Max holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Real Estate from Baylor University. He is a licensed attorney in the State of Texas.

Chad Ellis

Chad is responsible for the financial matters of the company, as well as Human Resources, Marketing, and Information Technology.

Prior to joining Hilltop, Chad worked at Weingarten Realty Investors, a Houston, Texas-based company that develops, owns and operates high quality grocery and necessity-based retail properties throughout major markets in North America. While at Weingarten, he managed all treasury functions, including leading the company’s capital raising initiatives and transactions.

A native Houstonian, Chad and his wife Lindsay are actively involved in their church, Bayou City Fellowship, and support various ministries, including Amada Women’s Initiative. Chad loves spending his free time coaching, chasing after, and making memories with Lindsay and their three children:  Asher (born 2011), Emerson (born 2012), and Storey (born 2016).  Chad holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Texas A&M University.

  • Led Weingarten through $4 billion of capital markets transactions, including the procurement, refinance, extension, and restructure of secured and unsecured debt.
  • Directed the reengineering of the entire treasury department, including staff, bank account structure, systems, processes, and procedures.
  • Worked with executive team to communicate with debt investors, rating agencies, lenders, and bankers.
  • During his tenure, Weingarten further strengthened its position as one of the leading developers, owners and operators of retail properties in United States.

Craig Marbach

Prior to joining Hilltop, Craig was Venterra’s Managing Director and was responsible for acquiring its entire portfolio outside of the state of Texas. In addition to acquisitions, he managed, mentored, and trained Venterra’s acquisitions professionals. In addition to traditional value-add and core transactions, he specializes in off-market, distressed, mixed-use, LIHTC, value-add, fractured condominiums, adaptive reuse, and complex joint venture structures.

Before joining Venterra, Craig was part of Ernst & Young’s Real Estate Advisory Services Group where he advised several Fortune 500 companies and smaller businesses on real estate transactions and valuations.

Craig is a native of Atlanta and supports several philanthropic causes including the Atlanta Jewish Federation, Doctors without Borders, International Dyslexia Association, and Hosea Williams Feed the Hungry. He has been a volunteer youth basketball and soccer coach for several seasons and enjoys spending his free time with his wife, Pam, and their two children. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance from the University of Georgia and a MBA in Real Estate from Georgia State University.

Tom McDonald
Sr. Vice President - Operations

Tom works hand in hand with our management company overseeing both Corporate Asset and On-Site Operations management.

Tom serves as the Vice President of Operations at Hilltop Residential.

Tom joined Hilltop in August 2017 as an Asset Manager as well as Capital Projects chair for both interior and exterior renovations. Since then he and the Hilltop Team have implemented our on-site management platform beginning in the Summer of 2018. In the last 6 months of 2018, Tom and his team of two Regional Managers successfully onboarded 10 assets and more than 75 employees. Hilltop’s management platform creates daily opportunities for dedicating ourselves to Service and Innovation for the benefit of our Residents, Investors, and Employees alike.

Prior to joining Hilltop, Tom worked at BIG Assets, a Dallas based multifamily owner & operator, concentrating on the reposition and management of assets in transitioning markets throughout Texas and Louisiana. As a Project & Operations Manager, Tom oversaw roughly 6,000 units throughout Texas and Louisiana.

A native Bostonian, Tom holds a Bachelor of Science in Management from the Carroll School of Management at Boston College. He has been involved with several different philanthropic endeavors in both Dallas and Houston.

Jordan Finch
Vice President - Acquisitions

Jordan is responsible for the sourcing, underwriting, evaluating and recommending potential multi-family acquisitions.

Jordan serves as Vice President – Acquisitions of Hilltop Residential.

Jordan’s professional background includes 3 and a half years as a Capital Markets Analyst at HFF. During his tenure, Jordan closed more than 100 debt transactions totaling over $2 Billion and worked on assets in 25 states. He also worked on the sourcing of multiple JV equity and complex structured finance transactions with a diverse group of capital sources.

Jordan joined Hilltop in 2018 and is responsible for the sourcing, underwriting, evaluating and recommending potential multi-family acquisitions, leveraging his transactional experience and capital markets contacts from his previous work. Jordan also works extensively with the asset management team on assets across Hilltop’s portfolio.

Jordan holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Southern Methodist University with minor concentrations in European History and German Language. He is an avid traveler who speaks two languages and has visited more than 20 countries.

Brad Kosley
Vice President – Asset Management

Brad is responsible for property revenue maximization and expense control initiatives, tracking property performance, and coordinating the due diligence and disposition processes.

Brad is responsible for property revenue maximization and expense control initiatives, tracking property performance, and coordinating the due diligence and disposition processes.

Brad’s professional background includes over 30 years of commercial real estate experience, including 14 years as the Director of the multifamily valuation practice for the Houston/San Antonio region at Cushman & Wakefield, where he was the recipient of the 2011 National Quality Award of its Valuation and Advisory group. In addition to other real estate appraiser roles, he has also held positions with a commercial real estate mortgage brokerage firm, specializing in multifamily assets, as well as a multifamily sales brokerage firm.

Brad was active in the extra-curricular sports, dance and band activities of his three kids, who are now grown. He spent several years coaching baseball, and he was a Band & Dance Team Booster Executive Board Member at their high school for four years. Brad has been a musician for over 40 years and is a drummer in a local cover band, and still plays softball in a competitive adult league. Brad holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in both Real Estate and Finance from The University of Texas at Austin.

Alex Rafieha
Regional Manager

Alex Rafieha

As a Regional Manager of Hilltop Residential, Alex is responsible for the implementation of the property management strategy that supports Hilltop’s Core Values. Alex also implements Hilltop’s customer service and cost controls at levels that maximize profitability of each asset. Alex promotes strong and consistent operating discipline for Hilltop.

Prior to joining Hilltop, Alex was with Venterra Realty and was responsible for the management oversight of 5500 units that covered multiple markets during his 10-year tenure.

Always having a passion for cars, Alex began wrenching, racing, and modifying his cars from an early age. When he is not at work or working on cars he is enjoying time with his two beautiful girls and amazing wife Stephanie.

As a Regional Manager of Hilltop Residential, Monica is responsible for the implementation of the property management strategy that supports Hilltop’s Core Values.

Monica Deleon has more than 10 years’ experience in the Multifamily Industry, eventually rising to Community Director with Greystar in 2015.  Over ​the following years, she honed in on her skills managing staff, budgeting, and delivering best in class service to both her residents and investors alike.  In the fall of 2017, Hilltop Residential called on Monica, a stand out Community Director, to join their first community, Mason Park, as they began to grow the infrastructure of Hilltop Management.  Over the next two years, Monica worked tirelessly to stabilize both Mason Park and another new acquisition, the Villas at Bunker Hill, eventually building a staff of 16 employees at two communities, including the promotion of a new Community Director for Hilltop Residential.  In the fall of 2019, Monica was promoted to Regional Manager, successfully on boarding seven communities in a little more than one year. 

When Monica is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her husband Josh and 2 children. Monica is an avid traveler and is always in pursuit of the next adventure.

Angie Kennedy
Regional Manager

ANGIE KENNEDY

As a Regional Manager of Hilltop Residential, Angie is responsible for the implementation of the property management strategy that supports Hilltop’s Core Values.

Angie has more than sixteen years of property management experience, with a background that includes marketing, lease-up, renovations, financial performance, client relations and overall property operations. Prior to Hilltop, Angie has held a variety of positions including Leasing Consultant, Assistant Manager, Field Trainer, Community Manager, Senior Manager and Regional Manager, directly working in the Dallas and Fort Worth markets.

Angie resides in Fort Worth with her husband Zach, her son, Ashtion and daughter, Tanner. She has a love for the outdoors, from camping, hiking or enjoying time on the water. Angie enjoys traveling to anywhere tropical and loves an adventure.

Brittney Weibling
Corporate Controller

As Hilltop’s Corporate Controller Brittney is responsible for the Corporate and Property Accounting Departments. In addition, Brittney also manages our treasury, payroll, and AP departments.

Her approach is to support Hilltop’s core values through establishing and providing reliable financials, value-added analysis, and Brittney continues to create & develop financial practices that support Hilltop’s goals while providing excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.

Prior to joining Hilltop, Brittney worked for Jones Lang LaSalle, a multi-national Chicago-based commercial real estate and investment company where she oversaw the financials of 19 hospital systems. She also managed all aspects of the utility process for these hospital systems and acted as a mentor for new staff to the financial planning & analysis team. Her experience also includes working for Emeritus Senior Living (formerly the largest assisted senior living company in the Unites States) where she was responsible for the full cycle accounting of 24 senior living communities, and utilized her interpersonal relationship skill to motivate timely contributions from 48 directors and mangers across the 24 properties.

Originally from Katy, TX, Brittney and her husband Adam have travelled all over the world but are excited to once again call the Houston-area home. Outside of work, Brittney’s focus is her faith and family. She enjoys ballet, family dinners and spending time outdoors. Brittney has a BBA in Accounting from the University of Houston and Masters credentials in Commerce from the University of Victoria in New Zealand.

Her responsibilities include the recruitment, onboarding and retainment of Hilltop’s top talent through focusing on employee learning and development, performance measurement and human resource offerings.

Mary has over 12 years’ experience in residential and multifamily industry where she was the Employee Learning & Development Manager for Venterra Realty and focused on teaching hundreds of employee’s how to provide a great experience throughout a customer’s living experience. While at Venterra, she held various roles such as Leasing Consultant, Regional Leasing Manager and Training Manager. Mary’s background consists of leading Venterra’s Training Department, supporting departmental initiatives through training, strategic planning, overseeing the Mentor Program, developing course curriculum and coordinating and emceeing their Annual Kick-Off Party and Leadership Conference.

Mary was born and raised in Houston, Texas and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Musical Theatre from West Texas A& M University. Mary is a mom to her two daughters, Addison & Delaney who fill her life with lots of giggles. In her spare time, Mary is a Girl Scout troop leader, assists with the children’s music program, teaches Sunday school and serves as a trustee at her church.

Josh Flores

Josh serves as Regional Maintenance Manager for Hilltop Residential with a 10+ year career in Apartment Management.

Josh Flores

Josh serves as Regional Maintenance Manager for Hilltop Residential. Hilltop specializes in the Identification, acquisition, finance, management, renovation, and disposition of multi-family communities in Texas and the southern United States. Josh began working on the Hilltop Portfolio in March of 2018 at Heights West 11th, and transitioned over to Villas at Bunker Hill in June of 2018. Supervising a team of 9 outside staff members, Josh and his team helped to establish the Hilltop Standard of 48 Hour Work Order completion. Josh transitioned to his role as a Regional Maintenance Manager in October of 2019.

Prior to joining Hilltop Management, Josh worked for Greystar Management in Houston. In a little over 4 years with Greystar Josh oversaw roughly 1,500 units. Over a 10+ year career in Apartment Management, he has become an outstanding asset to both the Residents and Staff alike, leading Hilltops nearly 60 on-site Maintenance employees.

Josh lives in Houston with his wife Elena and three children, Joshua, Natalie, and Ricky. In his free time, Josh is an avid Houston sports fan.
